RECURRING DREAMS - A PAST LIFE?

Debbie K sent me this short recurring dream for interpretation:

"I've always had a recurring dream that its Napoleon times and I'm a little kid. Usually, I'm at the pier looking at the big ships or I'm on a big ship. What usually happens is that I cause some trouble, like fire a cannon or blow something up or make a big sound and Napoleon himself ends up chasing me away. He can't catch up because he's a short man, and I'm an energetic kid. I remember it very vividly and detailed, with women walking around with big dresses and fancy parasols. I stopped having this dream like 7 years ago, but it has started coming back."

Generally, recurring dreams suggest that you have an issue in your life which you’re not dealing with.  This one is interesting because Debbie seems to be “remembering” details vividly.  The psyche will send you messages which use your unique language, personality and inherent character traits.

If you’re someone gifted with strong imagination and you have a passion for all things historical, and if you love color, vivid detail and dramatic scenarios, then this dream is merely satisfying your inherent tendencies while sending you whatever message you are meant to receive.  That message is:  “Okay, pay attention now.  You have a predilection to cause trouble, young lady, so stay alert.  Something’s going to occur in your life and if you don’t pay attention, you could end up causing everyone a lot of trouble.”

And maybe that’s the only function of this dream.

However, the attention to detail is very sharp.  For instance, Dreamer notes that Napoleon is a short man and (s)he is a very energetic kid.  My immediate instinct is to suggest this is a scene from a past life experience.  She might very well have lived an alternate lifetime as a young kid during Napoleon’s time.  As that kid, (s)he might very well have caused mischief on a ship which angered the real Napoleon Bonaparte.

Our psyches are very clever and unstoppable.  It will use any method in its arsenal to get its message across.  Past life experiences, as many hypnotist practitioners will affirm, are definitely in a human’s memory arsenal.

Sometimes people will have vivid dreams outlining in detail the lifetime of other individuals…not themselves.  Except they’re seeing the events in the dream as if they themselves were experiencing it.  These are dreams of spontaneous past-life recollections.

In any event, the fact that they are recurring, and that they disappeared for a while but have returned, still sends that same message:  “Watch out… you’re about to cause trouble, intentionally or not, and someone’s gonna get mad at you!”

Snooze the night away, folks!   For us humans, that’s what  night time is for!
